Child hit in face by soldier saluting the Queen - BBC News

This six-year-old girl will never forget the moment she met the Queen in Cardiff. Her Majesty was presented with a posy by Maisie as part of a regimental tradition. But after Maisie handed over the flowers, a saluting soldier accidently hit her in the face.
The accident happened as the Queen honoured The Royal Welsh with new colours during a ceremony at the Millennium Stadium.
Maisie's father, Regimental Sergeant Major Martin Gregory, said his daughter has since seen the funny side. He said: "She was a little bit upset but I let her wear my hat and carry my sword. She was soon cheerful and she's running around now."
